Suburb Guide is built on Wordpress 2.5.1. Wordpress is used as a customised Content Management System. Most of the contents are in the form of a post, and organised into categories.
There two types of categories, one is location, such as areas, suburbs; the other is general categories, such as area info, map, kids activities, restaurant, etc. Because of this structure, Wordpress is heavily customised to suit this.
There are two main types of posts. The first type is entered by Suburb Guide staff, mainly area information, bush walking tracks and the like. The second type is entered by clients, who need to pay Suburb Guide a fee to be listed.
Currently, there is only one page for clients to enter their information at
http://www.suburbguide.com.au/submit-your-listing. We would like this to be changed to a login area for clients to add and update their listing. In addition, we would also like to add statistic reports for clients and payment related functions.
The following are the details:
Submit-your-listing page
• Upload image function
• Choose price, control number of categories, suburbs, images, pdfs
• Collect password
• Send email confirmation to the users
• Refer to payment changes
• Refer to GMap, get geocode automatically
• Add campaign function.
Login area
• Reports, listing stats, View, Visit Site, Send Email, Refer to a Friend, by last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or date range
• Add/Update listing, similar to submit your listing page
• List of invoices
• Pay invoices
o By Paypal, redirect to Paypal site
o By Direct Deposit, display bank account and instruction
o By Post, display address and instruction
Change listing page
• Only show unexpired pages
• Update gmap, refer to GMap
GMap (we will provide a gmap php API)
• On submit-your-listing, get geocode automatically
• Update map on listing page, get directory
• Update suburb map to list all nearby businesses
Admin area
• Payments admin
o List all transactions, search by date, post id, business email, business name
o List all payments, search by date, post id, business email, business name
o Update payment status, paid until
